Live and Learn, Any Day Given

NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE YOU AND THAT’S OKAY.

NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE YOU AND THAT’S OKAY.

I know that this is actually tough to digest, but this is a simple act that we need to accept. Try as hard as you might, there will always be one person or a few people who won’t like you. And that’s okay.

For instance, besides watching TV, I love doing Musically during my past time, and love to share them with my followers on Instagram. I started doing Musically since I was 9. It is a pretty fun thing to do, where you can act, sing, dance and do whatever that you wish to do. But I am just an amateur and I do it just for fun.

I get a lot of positive feedback for my Musically posts from my followers, which is an amazing thing and I am happy that so many of them enjoy watching it. Yet, at the very same time I do get a regular stream of haters.

Sure, I get a lot more love than hate, but it’s still interesting to see how people’s opinions can differ so greatly. One person can love a video while another will loathe it.

Well this is not just about Musically precisely, but I’ve learned a lot of things about human behaviour from my mother and I wanted to share some of the truths that I have come to accept in life. The most important one, though, has been the realization that YOU CAN’T PLEASE EVERYONE.

IT’S LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP EVERYONE PLEASED.

You simply just can’t. You can try, but you will never succeed, because some people simply can’t be pleased no matter what you do. They won’t be pleased because they either just don’t like you or they just don’t like whatever things that you do (aren’t they sound the same?) They may not even have a specific reason they can pinpoint. They sometimes not being logical. But everybody has their own opinion. We have to accept that.

BUT OPINIONS ARE JUST OPINIONS.

Opinions are not facts. Just because they think something should be done in a certain way doesn’t mean it’s the best way to do it. And it doesn’t mean that it’s the right thing to do. Like some of my friends told me to leave behind the entire social network that I am involved with since we are very close to UPSR, but hey, I accept their opinions, but that does not mean that I need to stop. Well basically opinions are neither wrong nor right; they just are.

WHEN YOU DON’T WORRY ABOUT WHAT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS, IT IS A LOT EASIER TO FOCUS ON THE THINGS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER.

I love fashion. I love being fashionable. I like to post my OOTD on Instagram because I just feel good of doing it. Some people like to see it, but of course, some don’t. And those who don’t will start judging. Some even blocked me. But the thing is, I only have so much time to think about the things that matter, and since there are so many things in the world that do matter, don’t you think it is foolish of me to spend time contemplating over what people critics about me? Sure, you can sometimes learn something from criticism, but haters don’t criticize, they insult. Some people just like to hate; like that is their favourite past time.

It’s regretful though, but many of the people who we keep as “friends” often harming us, without we even realizing it. Many of us have “friends” who are distracting us from our goals, who are bad influences, who make us angry or stress, who lie to us and abuse the friendship.

Even those who are smart enough to keep their close circle filled with great people will often have poisonous acquaintances. We need to remove ourselves from their presence as soon as we can.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE. LOVE WHAT YOU DO.

For me, I do whatever that keeps me happy. If it doesn’t make me happy, then it isn’t worth doing. It is as simple as that. Life is too short to allow myself to be miserable, especially when there are so much better options.

My mother always says, accepting that not everyone is going to like you is one of many reasons for you to be a better person. And those who truly love you and care about you will always be pleased when you are simply being yourself. Just be nice to people and treat them they way you want to be treated. Not everyone will like you, and that’s okay.
